Summary

Mahindra & Mahindra is an Indian automobile manufacturing company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Part of the Mahindra Group, M&M is one of the largest vehicle manufacturers by production in India. It aims to provide the best value for money to customers through high-quality, cost-effective products and services. It launched the connected car platform in 2021 named Adrenox connect.

In my role as a UX designer for this project, I carried out user research throughout India to gain insights into customers' goals, needs, and challenges. Using an iterative approach, I developed user flows for over 30 features to ensure a smooth experience within the Connected Car ecosystem. I also designed the user interface for the Adrenox Connect mobile application.

This case study highlights the process we went through to successfully deliver the connected car solution to the customers.

Product Overview and Customer Problem

Adrenox is an intelligent connected car platform crafted to provide seamless connectivity and an enhanced user experience across Mahindra vehicles. Developed in partnership with technology leaders such as BOSCH India, Visteon, and Amazon (Alexa), Adrenox was introduced in 2021 with the launch of the Mahindra XUV 7OO and has since been expanded to other models. Integral to this ecosystem, Adrenox Connect is the mobile application that allows users to engage with their cars in various ways, including controlling the vehicle and monitoring its real-time status.

In India, Mahindra has long been a prominent brand in the SUV market, but in recent years, it experienced a setback as some of its newly launched vehicles underperformed, leading to a decline in customers due to issues with technology, design, and public appeal. ****
